My Take

Whatever you think of his bluster, I respect what Dana White actually built. He took an organization treated as a banned sideshow and willed it into a global sport with unified rules, mainstream stars, and a billion-dollar media footprint. That requires more than loud opinions; it requires decades of obsessive, unglamorous deal-making. I do not always enjoy his combative public persona, but I suspect it is inseparable from the product — the UFC sells confrontation, and so does its chief executive. As a study in pure promotion, he belongs alongside the great showmen of any era.
