My Take

Goalkeepers are a particular weakness of mine, and Daniel Akpeyi embodies why. A 186 cm shot-stopper out of Nnewi in Nigeria's Anambra State, he chose the loneliest job on the pitch: no applause for the obvious, just one decisive save away from carrying the whole side. Nigerian keepers carry a distinctive blend of athleticism and presence, and representing the Super Eagles is no small burden.
