Daniel Ash

Daniel Ash is one of those musicians I quietly revere for his refusal to stand still. As the guitarist who helped define Bauhaus, he could have coasted on goth-rock legend, but instead he kept reinventing himself through Tones on Tail, Love and Rockets, and beyond. To me that restless, experimental drive is the real signature of his career, far more than any single band. His guitar work has a texture and strangeness that feels genuinely searching rather than formulaic. I love artists who treat genre as a starting line rather than a cage, and Ash has spent decades proving he is exactly that kind of creator.
