Darsheel Safary

Darsheel Safary will always be, for me, the boy from Aamir Khan's directorial debut, playing a dyslexic child with a tenderness that still lands every time I revisit it. Winning a critics' award as a child actor is no small feat, and what I value isn't whether his later career matched that peak but the sheer purity of that one performance. Child stars often struggle to grow into adult careers, yet a single role that honest can outlast a whole filmography. I'd rather celebrate the lasting glow of what he created than measure him against expectations he never asked for.
