Doug Basham

Doug Basham is the kind of wrestler I find easy to respect. He never headlined as a global superstar, yet he spent the mid-2000s grinding through WWE and a TNA run, lending his 188 cm frame to matches that needed a reliable hand. To me, performers like him are the connective tissue of the business: they make the stars look good and keep the show moving. I tend to admire the workhorses over the headliners, and Basham strikes me as exactly that breed of dependable, body-on-the-line professional who quietly held things together.
