Duke Dumont

Duke Dumont, born Adam Dyment, is to me the sound of a perfect summer evening. Hitting number one twice with "Need U (100%)" and "I Got U" is impressive, but what convinces me of his talent is the consistency, not the spikes. "Ocean Drive" alone proves he can write a melody that instantly transports you somewhere warm and open. He is a producer who balances dancefloor instinct with genuine songcraft, which is rarer than the charts suggest. I gravitate toward artists who can both move a crowd and write a real song, and Dumont does both with a craftsman's ear.
