Emily Armstrong

I'll be honest — when Linkin Park announced Emily Armstrong as their new lead vocalist in September 2024, my first reaction was pure skepticism, because replacing Chester Bennington felt almost cosmically impossible. But then I actually listened, and she won me over fast. Her roots in Dead Sara already proved she could command a stage with raw, unguarded power, and she brings that same uncompromising energy to Linkin Park without trying to clone Chester's style. She's a real guitarist and songwriter, not a hire — she's a collaborator. There's something genuinely brave about stepping into one of rock's most grief-laden legacies and making it feel alive again rather than like a tribute act, and she's pulling it off.
