My Take
Enrique Arce is, to me, proof that a so-called supporting villain can steal a whole show. As the cowardly, pitiful Arturo in Money Heist, he made millions love to hate him, threading the needle between contemptible and oddly human. That is rare. The fact that he also writes scripts deepens my respect: he understands character weakness from the inside out. There is a Mediterranean melancholy to his presence, fitting for a Valencia native, and I have always been a sucker for character actors who can carry shade and ambiguity. Arce is one I will happily watch in anything.
