Erik von Detten

Mention the voice of Sid in Toy Story and people light up at Erik von Detten's name. What I respect about him is his range across both on-screen acting and voice work, grounded in a childhood spent inside Disney productions. Voicing Erwin Lawson across the full run of Recess and four follow-up films takes a steady, unglamorous dedication I genuinely value. He's the sort of dependable working actor who quietly holds productions together rather than chasing stardom. I have a real soft spot for performers like him, the craftsmen whose presence makes an entire industry function.
