Fann Wong

Fann Wong is a genuine multi-hyphenate, and I find her career remarkably impressive. As an actress, singer, model, and businesswoman, she's regarded as one of MediaCorp's "Ah Jie", a mark of real status in Singapore's entertainment world. Sustaining top-tier relevance across so many disciplines, and over decades, demands a discipline most performers never manage. Born in 1971, she represents a kind of polished, enduring stardom that I think Singapore can be proud of. What strikes me is the entrepreneurial nerve layered on top of artistic success. People who refuse to be boxed into a single role have always earned my respect, and she's a prime example.
