My Take
Fernando Colunga is, to me, the archetype of the classic telenovela leading man. His turn as Luis Fernando in Maria la del Barrio made him a heartthrob across Latin America, and Amor Real proved he could carry period elegance with genuine poise. What I find most appealing is his restraint, a former civil engineering student who let his presence and craft do the talking rather than tabloid noise. I have a real soft spot for this brand of dignified leading man who simply lets the work stand.
