My Take
Franco Nero will forever be Django dragging that coffin through the mud, and that 1966 image is seared into a whole generation. But what fascinates me is that he never coasted on it. Over 200 roles, an international career, plus directing, producing, and writing, all crowned by a Commander of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic. Plenty of actors would have lived comfortably off one iconic part forever, yet Nero kept working and kept evolving well into his later years. That restless, sturdy Italian work ethic is what I find genuinely admirable about him.
