My Take
Gareth Thomas earns my admiration on two fronts. As a 191-centimeter Welshman who represented his country in both rugby union and rugby league, becoming the first to reach 100 caps, he was already a giant of the sport. But what moves me more is his life after the whistle. Coming out publicly and then confronting stigma head-on as an activist took a different, quieter courage than any tackle.
