My Take

What draws me to Gela Aprasidze is the position he plays: scrum-half, the brain that dictates a rugby match. Coming out of Tbilisi and earning a spot at Top 14 club Bayonne while wearing the Georgia jersey says a lot about his nerve. Georgia is one of rugby's most fascinating rising nations, and I think players like him are the reason the established powers should be nervous. He is young, sharp, and operating at one of the toughest levels in the sport. I will be watching to see how far he can carry Georgian rugby onto the world stage.
