Gulshan Grover

Gulshan Grover is the kind of actor I cherish: the villain who outshines the hero. Earning the nickname the Bad Man of Hindi cinema across more than a hundred films, he turned menace into an art form, and I'd argue playing convincing evil demands more intelligence and control than playing a saint. A commerce graduate from Delhi who chose the riskier path of being memorable rather than likable, he gave countless films their dramatic spine. Antagonists like him are the unsung architects of storytelling, and his long career at the top of that thankless craft deserves far more applause than it usually gets.
