Harry Shum

Harry Shum Jr. fascinates me as a performer who built his career from movement up. Born in Limón, Costa Rica, and trained as a dancer, he turned physical expression into a full acting voice across Glee, Shadowhunters, and Grey's Anatomy. What I value most is his range: choreographer, singer, dancer, and actor all feeding one another. He also quietly widened the path for Asian performers to hold leading roles, earning ground through sheer craft rather than noise. I see a versatile artist whose body literacy gives his on-screen presence a texture few peers match, and I expect his best work is still ahead.
