Haruki Miyauchi

Haruki Miyauchi is the kind of guy who makes you root for him without any flashy reason to — born in 1996 in Sosa, a quiet corner of Chiba, he took the long road through Tako High School and Meisei University before carving his way into professional baseball. That's not the resume of someone handed anything; that's someone who kept showing up. He switched to a sidearm delivery in college, spent four years in corporate-league ball, went to Nippon-Ham as a sixth-round pick, and now pitches for Chunichi. I'm genuinely curious where this one ends up, and that curiosity feels earned.
