Hiro is the most interesting kind of leader: the one who is not the voice. Born in 1969 and raised in Yokohama, he came up as a dancer, and in a group built on singing he ran the entire enterprise from the dance side, turning Exile into a name that carries on its own and then building LDH around it. In 2013, still in his early forties, he retired from performing altogether and went full-time into producing. That is the part I find hard to imagine doing. He was still physically able to be on stage and chose to step off so he could put other people there instead. Most people in entertainment cannot resist their own spotlight, even when the smarter move is obvious. He seems to have been looking at a different picture from the start.
