My Take
Yeji strikes me as the kind of leader a K-pop group actually needs rather than just nominally has. As the leader of Itzy under JYP Entertainment since 2019, she anchors the choreography with a sharp, almost feline stage presence that I find hard to look away from. Her eyes get talked about a lot, and fairly so, but it is her control as a dancer that impresses me most. The solo EP Air in March 2025 was a smart move, giving her room to define herself outside the group. I am curious whether she leans further into that solo identity or keeps Itzy as her main canvas.
