My Take

Odds are I have heard Ian James Corlett's voice without realizing it. He was the first English voice of adult Goku in the Ocean dub of Dragon Ball Z, which makes him part of how Japanese animation broke through to Western audiences, and that excites me. Voice actor, songwriter, children's author: the titles pile up, but the through line is a clear desire to delight kids. I have real admiration for people who, from behind the scenes, build the things that lodge in children's memories worldwide.
