My Take

You may not recognize Jason Davis by face, but if you grew up with Disney's Recess, his voice as Mikey Blumberg lives somewhere in your memory. Born in Salt Lake City in 1984, he worked as a child actor and voice artist, and his passing in 2020 at just 35 still strikes me as a real loss. Voice acting is a quietly demanding craft: with no face to lean on, you reach children purely through warmth and expression. I like to think that as long as people remember Mikey's cheerful tone, some part of Jason Davis keeps living on around the world.
