Jeremy Scahill

Jeremy Scahill is a journalist I hold in real esteem. His Blackwater exposé pulled back the curtain on private mercenary power, and two George Polk Awards plus co-founding The Intercept mark him as the rare investigative reporter who refuses to flatter power. The courage to push into war zones and classified corners isn't something you fake. In an era when thin, recycled content floods the feed, the value of a writer who actually does the legwork and verifies the dangerous story only rises. I'll always take one hard-won line over a dozen frictionless takes. He's the genuine article.
