Jhonkensy Noel

Jhonkensy Noel — "Big Christmas" — is one of those nicknames that tells you everything before you even see him play. Born in the Dominican Republic in 2001, he's still only in his mid-twenties and already turning heads in Major League Baseball as a power-hitting first baseman and outfielder. His stint with the Cleveland Guardians gave fans a taste of what that big frame can do with a bat, and a waiver claim by the Baltimore Orioles in January 2026 showed that clubs still want that bat, even if he is now looking for his next team. There's something genuinely fun about watching a player this young with this much raw power still figuring out his ceiling — and honestly, the ceiling looks pretty high from here. Keep an eye on Big Christmas.
