Jiří Procházka

Jiří Procházka strikes me as one of mixed martial arts' true romantics. Emerging from the village of Hostěradice in South Moravia with an openly samurai-inspired philosophy, he became the first Czech to capture a UFC title, which reads like a sports manga come to life. At 193 cm he fights with a wild, unpredictable striking style that ignores convention and somehow keeps working. The Muay Thai foundation and the spiritual code he carries turn raw power into a genuine way of living. That blend of danger and discipline is electric to watch. From Brno to the top of the division, his sheer will commands my respect.
