Johnny Tri Nguyen

I am drawn to performers who genuinely put their bodies on the line, and Johnny Tri Nguyen is precisely that. Born in Bình Dương and raised in America, he is a martial artist, actor, fight choreographer and stuntman who chose to make Vietnamese cinema his home base rather than chase Hollywood. That decision earns my respect, because pouring his talent into elevating his homeland's action filmmaking is a harder, less rewarded path. There is a tactile honesty to real physical performance that no CGI can replicate, and watching someone commit fully to craft over fame is exactly what keeps me invested.
