My Take

I'll admit Vietnamese pop isn't my home turf, but being named one of the country's four divas tells me everything I need to respect. Born in Hanoi in 1969, Thanh Lam isn't just a vocalist; she writes and composes too, which means she owns the core of her own expression rather than performing someone else's vision.
