My Take
Josh Taylor is genuinely one of the most exciting things to come out of Scottish boxing in a generation, and I don't think he gets nearly enough credit outside the UK. This guy out of Prestonpans climbed all the way to undisputed light-welterweight champion — WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, and The Ring belt all at once — which is a ridiculously rare achievement in any era of boxing. His 2019 IBF win over Ivan Baranchyk was an all-out war that most serious fans still talk about, and his 2021 unification fight against Jose Zepeda was flat-out one of the best action bouts of the decade. He's the kind of fighter who makes you lean forward in your seat whether he's ahead on the cards or not.
