Junko Minagawa

I'll be honest, voice acting fascinates me because you never see the face, yet a single voice can lodge itself in your brain forever, and Junko Minagawa is exactly that kind of artist for me. She's a woman who's become legendary playing scrappy, earnest young boys, and the moment that bright, slightly husky tone hits your ear you just know it's her, no credits needed. There's a stubborn, straight-arrow quality in her delivery that somehow feels right for someone from Ibaraki, born in 1975. What gets me most is the staying power: she's been at this since 2001, a genuine veteran, but the youthfulness in her voice hasn't faded a bit. Meanwhile guys my age get croakier every year. She's a quiet craftsman who never needed the spotlight, just the mic, and that earns my full respect.
