My Take
K Callan earns my deep respect for sheer longevity. Born in Dallas in 1936, she became beloved as Martha Kent in Lois & Clark, a role that radiated warmth without ever demanding the spotlight. What moves me most is that, well past eighty, she keeps taking on new work, from Widow's Bay to playing Elizabeth in The Chosen. Maternal and supporting roles rarely earn headlines, yet they hold stories together. As both actress and writer, Callan embodies the rare discipline of simply continuing. In an industry obsessed with youth, her steady, enduring career is something I genuinely cherish.
