Kaoru Matsumoto, known everywhere as Dump Matsumoto, took the hardest job in Japanese wrestling: being hated. At 164cm, out of Kumagaya in Saitama, she led the villain side of All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling through its 1980s peak, opposite the Crush Gals, and made kids cry in front of their televisions. I have never read that as villainy. Someone has to absorb the crowd's anger or the hero's tears mean nothing. The Observer Hall of Fame was the least she was owed.
