Katherine Waterston

Katherine Waterston is an actor whose choices I trust. Born in Westminster and trained at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, she debuted in Michael Clayton and earned real attention with her breakthrough in Inherent Vice. What I value is her range across stage, film, and television, and her refusal to chase flashy stardom. She has a quiet, absorbing presence that dissolves into a role rather than overpowering it. That kind of unshowy craftsmanship is exactly what makes a performer reliable over the long haul. I'd happily follow her into whatever subtle, demanding part she takes on next.
