Keiichi Tsuchiya

To me, Keiichi Tsuchiya is more than a fast driver; he is a cultural translator. He took drifting, once dismissed as reckless mountain-road antics, and legitimized it as a respected motorsport, all while winning his class twice at Le Mans. I admire how he never lost the playful, rebellious spirit of his roots in rural Nagano even as he competed at the highest level. The nickname Drift King could have been a gimmick, but he earned it with genuine craft. For me he embodies the rare balance of discipline and joy that makes a driver truly unforgettable.
