My Take

What I respect about Kendrick Bourne is the path more than the highlights. Coming out of Eastern Washington and going undrafted in 2017, he had every reason to vanish, yet he carved out a real NFL career across the 49ers, Patriots and Cardinals. That is the unglamorous grind I find genuinely compelling: a receiver who earns trust catch by catch rather than headline by headline. Born in 1995, he is still in his prime, and players like him, the dependable supporting cast who quietly keep an offense honest, are the ones I tend to root for hardest. A quietly admirable career.
