My Take
What draws me to Kevin Janssens is the quiet reinvention buried in his story: born Kevin Roels, he chose a new surname before staking his claim as an actor. That kind of deliberate self-fashioning tells me he treated the craft seriously from the start. His first important role came in the mini-series King of the World, after training at Studio Herman Teirlinck in Antwerp. I see him as a working craftsman, and those are exactly the performers I think deserve more attention than they get.
