Kim Doyoung

Doyoung, from Ansan in Gyeonggi Province, is the NCT member I find easiest to single out by voice alone. Whether in NCT 127 or NCT DoJaeJung, that clear, lifting tone gives a song its emotional spine, and I think it is genuinely distinctive within such a large collective. Having trained patiently through SM Rookies, he carries a stability that shows in every performance. What intrigues me is his range beyond singing, into acting and hosting, which suggests plenty of room to grow. I always find myself cheering for idols who can win on the strength of their voice.
