My Take
Kristen Johnston will always be Sally Solomon to me, the towering, fearless physical comedy that earned her two Emmys on 3rd Rock from the Sun. But what deepens my admiration is the second act: she turned her struggle with addiction into a candid memoir and became a genuine voice for recovery. A comedian who spends years making people laugh, then bares her hardest chapters in print, shows a rare kind of courage. From sitcoms to The Exes to Mom she has proven her range, yet it is that off-screen honesty that makes her, to me, far more than a punchline.
