Kwak Dong-yeon

Kwak Dong-yeon is one of those actors who quietly builds a resume so solid you don't realize how many of your favorite K-dramas he's been in until you stop and count. He broke through in 2016 with Love in the Moonlight, holding his own against the main leads in a way that put him firmly on the radar, and he's kept that momentum going ever since. His supporting turn in Vincenzo was genuinely scene-stealing, and Big Mouth showed he could anchor a tense thriller on his own. Then came Queen of Tears in 2024, which became a massive hit, and he was right there in the thick of it. He's got real range — period romance, dark crime, melodrama — and he never feels out of place in any of them. A quiet overachiever, and I mean that as a full compliment.
