Layla El

What draws me to Layla El is the arc of reinvention. She danced for cruise lines, the Miami Heat, and even Kanye West before winning WWE's Diva Search and carving out a real wrestling identity. Plenty of dancers get a novelty push and vanish, but she actually learned the craft and held her own in a brutally physical world. At five-foot-two she was never the biggest in the room, yet she commanded attention through charisma and timing. I respect performers who treat a lucky break as a starting line rather than a destination, and Layla clearly did exactly that throughout her career.
