Louis Alphonse de Bourbon

There's something genuinely surreal about Louis Alphonse de Bourbon existing quietly in the modern world while carrying the title "Louis XX of France" among Legitimist royalists. Born in Madrid in 1974 as the great-great-grandson of Alfonso XIII of Spain, he descends directly from Louis XIV through Philip V — which, by strict Legitimist succession, makes him the Bourbon claimant to a throne that was abolished centuries ago. He holds chivalric honors that read like a medieval inventory: Knight of the Order of the Holy Spirit, Bailiff Grand Cross of the Order of Saint John. And yet he went into business. That combination of dynastic gravity and pragmatic modern life is weirdly compelling to me — he's proof that history doesn't politely end just because republics take over.
