My Take

Lu Ming-Che earns my admiration simply by being a serious badminton player out of Taiwan, one of the sport's deepest talent pools. He came through the National Taiwan Sport University, which tells me he committed to the grind rather than chasing easy fame. Badminton fascinates me precisely because it hides brutal athleticism behind a tiny shuttlecock and split-second reflexes.
