Lucas

Lucas interests me as a study in cultural border-crossing. A Hong Kong rapper who broke through in Korea's machine via NCT, WayV and SuperM, he carried language and identity into a market that rarely makes room for outsiders, and that takes real nerve. His 2024 solo debut with Renegade reads to me as the crucial test: can he define a voice apart from the group system that built him? I tend to respect performers who leave the safety of a collective to gamble on themselves. Whether his solo identity sharpens or blurs is exactly the arc I want to follow.
