Lúcia Moniz

For most international viewers, Lúcia Moniz is Aurélia in Love Actually, and that role alone shows how emotion can cross any language barrier. But I see her as far more than a single memorable moment. Having represented Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest, released several albums, and worked across film and theatre, she has a versatility that deserves wider recognition. I am drawn to performers who move fluidly between singing and acting, carrying genuine feeling into both. To me she is an underappreciated talent who ought to be far better known beyond Portugal.
