Lynda Carter

To me, Lynda Carter is the blueprint every later screen heroine quietly borrowed from. She could have coasted on a Miss World USA crown, but instead she stacked acting, singing, voice work, and writing onto that 1970s Wonder Woman icon, proving the role was a launchpad rather than a ceiling. What I admire most is her staying power. Decades on, she remains visible, articulate, and unapologetically herself, the kind of public figure who grows more interesting with age. Coming out of Phoenix by way of Arizona State University gave her a grounded steadiness that I think still anchors her presence today.
