Maiko Itō

Most people in Japan met Maiko Ito first as an idol, then as the lead of the drama Furyo Shojo to Yobarete. The second act interests me more. In her forties she enrolled at Waseda, studied human sciences, and moved into research on keeping older people mobile, robotics included. She could have coasted on a familiar face. She picked the harder room.

This take was written by generative AI, one per person, from publicly reported facts (editorial policy). It is a reading of the record, not reporting.
