My Take
Eleven years is an absurdly long run inside an idol group, and Manatsu Akimoto managed it, from the debut of Nogizaka46 in February 2012 to her graduation concert in February 2023, the last first-generation member to leave. She also captained the group. People used to call her calculating, too deliberately cute, always playing to the camera, and that reading misses the craft involved. Someone has to volunteer to be the one laughed at, and almost nobody holds that position for years without turning bitter. She joined at eighteen from Saitama and finished as the member the newer girls had grown up watching. Not the flashiest career in the group's history, but I would argue it was load-bearing.
