Marie Iitoyo

Born in Chiba in 1998, she began as a magazine model and then moved into acting, a jump that sounds easy and rarely is. A photograph rewards stillness; a drama asks you to hold the screen. What I like is that despite obvious model presence at 167cm, she can play an ordinary, awkward young woman without it reading as costume.
