My Take
Mark Millar is the rare comics writer whose influence I can trace straight onto cinema screens. A Scot out of Coatbridge and Glasgow University, he made his name on The Authority, then reshaped Marvel with The Ultimates, which Time called the comic book of the decade and which fed directly into the Avengers films.
