My Take
Martin Shkreli is one of the most polarizing figures I cover, and I find him fascinating precisely because he refuses to soften. The drug-pricing scandal rightly drew widespread condemnation, yet his sheer audacity and quick intellect are undeniable. What strikes me is his refusal to disappear; he kept reinventing himself as a YouTuber, collector, and executive, leaning into the villain role rather than hiding from it. I hold no illusions about the ethics involved, but his magnetic, unapologetic presence is genuinely rare. He is a person I watch with a complicated mix of disapproval and reluctant curiosity.
