My Take

Nicknamed Monito, the Little Monkey, Vargas already has the kind of name that makes you want to root for him. He is an Argentine left winger from Salta, and at 168 cm he is exactly the small, nimble dribbler I love to watch unsettle defenders. His move to Al Fateh in the Saudi Pro League reads as a player both earning his keep and continuing to sharpen his game far from home. I have always been drawn to Argentine footwork, and there is real upside here. Born in 1997, he still has room to grow, and I am genuinely curious to see how far his quickness takes him.
