Michael Grimm

Michael Grimm fascinates me as a full arc of rise and fall. From New York City roots to lawyer, to congressman for Staten Island, and then resignation over felony tax fraud, his story carries all the grit of American politics. I find it too easy to mock those who stumble; I am more interested in the stubborn ambition that built him in the first place. There is a bitter irony in a Baruch-trained mind tripping over numbers. Praise and disgrace together make his name one I do not forget.
